April is Ducky Diaper Cake Month!

We declare April to be Ducky Diaper Cake month. (Mark your calendars...we'll wait).

All our ducky diaper cakes are on sale this month and we strongly suspect that we will be making an entirely new section in our store that is entirely ducky. You can get the cakes at a great price and you can even pick up some spare duckies to ship along with (or seperately) from your cake to help decorate your baby shower!

We've even created a new item in our store in honor of the duckies....how fun!

It has been too long....

It has been a very long time since I tended to the blog. What a busy winter and spring we have had at Diaper Cakes by Becca. However we are happy that our design style continues to evolve and we have met a lot of great small business owners who help us to keep our ingredients fresh and new!!

As always we strive to use only the very best baby goodies that anyone would be proud to give on their own.....and all together this makes for an even more amazing diaper cake. Our new embroiderer is Trinity Embroidery, located in Queen Creek, AZ, and they have been doing an AMAZING job with our baby goodies and getting them personalized for the wee ones.

I will be updating the Free Baby Shower Guide soon to include new ideas and fresh concepts in baby showering. And, as always, we try to bring our best creations to our baby shower photo gallery on the website.

Diaper Cakes Going Strong....

We've added a new way to order a custom diaper cake for that baby you are celebrating! Now you can go to our store and choose your size, theme, colors and goodies.....with simple pull down options and typed-in descriptions. We are very excited to be offering this option as it will allow our clients the ability to customize their own cakes without having to contact us, directly. Technology is grand!

We've made some really awesome diaper cakes this week....two, in particular, were fun. One was a variation of our Sweet Pea Diaper cake and one was a fun 5 tier customizable diaper cake with great trendy colors.

We are also pleased to announce the addition of some great mommy/daughter bracelets to our goody selection on our store. Great items!

Baby Shower season is so much fun!

So Sundays are always a great day for us. We get to do a lot of our shopping for the upcoming week's diaper cakes. Picking the ribbon out is always my favorite part....thinking outside the box to find unusual and imaginative color combinations. We've got a really great Pink/Black/White diaper cake coming up this week that we simply can't wait to get completed and photo posted. The bold color schemes are often a really nice change of pace from the pastel ones.....but we still love those, too!

Our Sweet Pea diaper cake is probably one of our clients' favorites right now. That and the Safari Animals (that is always a favorite....who can resist the tiny little giraffes and elephants?).

We have a great sale on the 3 Tier Autumn colors diaper cake which is great if someone is planning a fall baby shower.

And, of course, our baby shower guide is there to inspire any host or hostess with new ideas for their baby celebration.

Boy do we have a great job~!

I got yelped....how cool!!

A really happy client yelped me in the Phoenix area tonight. She sent me an email to let me know she'd reviewed me. THIS is what my company is all about....making people happy and excited about the new baby. I make money, sure. But it is the clients that are just that happy about my work, that is why I am really doing this.

I simply LOVE what I do. I love making these cakes and making all the guests happy. There is nothing negative about my chosen profession. I am a lucky woman.

So thanks Cathy!! Your kind words have made my night, and perhaps my week. Look me up again when your next baby gift is needed.

Custom Diaper Cakes

New Custom Diaper Cakes and A New And Improved Website

I have two new custom diaper cakes to share with the world tonight. I really love them both. The baby boy cakes are really huge this month, I have hardly done any baby girl cakes when compared to the amount of baby boy ones. But both of these cakes had fun stories that I enjoyed hearing the backstory about from my clients. I have really cool clients and I love hearing about the new parents and I love hearing the love for this baby coming down through the phone line or email. Love Love Love to celebrate baby!!

Also, my website FINALLY has more user-friendly custom diaper cake order form on there so that it is easier for my cliens to order their custom diaper cake. I am continuing to learn so much about website development and it is nice to see the results from the endless hours put into this business that I love so much (hence the 4am post.....3 hours of sleep for Becca tonight!)

The World of Advertising

I have ventured into the world of advertising and started my adventure on the New England Republican website. This will give me a chance to explore this medium, blog advertising. It will also inspire me to start working on this type of design, ad design. My first ad isn't pretty but it gets the point across in a land that has no other competition up against it, I suppose. We are staying busy with the cakes and with the website. I am feeling really good about the future of our company. This is getting ready to become a family affair as my husband, who happens to be a rather good artist, is going to be sketching some rough-ideas for our new Baby Shower Invitations and Thank You Cards we will be debutting next month. I am really excited to involve him in the busines and I think it will be nice to do this together.

We are heading out shopping today, another wonderful custom diaper cake to "bake" tonight....I am really excited about this one because it has a nice back-story. Celebrating baby is a truly awesome job and I am always honored when someone chooses our company as the medium through which they express their love for this new baby.

Updated Baby Shower Guide

I am pleased to announce that we have updated our Baby Shower Guide and it now includes a lot more ideas and recipes for those hostesses planning the perfect baby shower. We have information on Etiquette, Themes, Decorations, Prizes and Favors and even a checklist so all the important things don't get away from you during the planning stages!

Once again, Diaper cakes are a great gift to have as a centerpiece because they can double as a gift to the new mom AND be used as a game at the shower (How Many Diapers in the Diaper Cake)!
